Business Week 2023 is Here! Here's What

You Can Expect

The FSCA is, this week hosting its Business Week campaign under the theme; Setting you up for Success: Starting a Business which is aimed at encouraging South Africans to start their own businesses. For two weeks (Business week 1 from 30 January - 3 February 2023 and Business Week 2 from 27 February - 3 March 2023), the campaign will arm south Africans with the basic information required to start a business, manage it for growth and sustain it over a long period to provide enough job security for the business founder whilst creating more jobs.

The FSCA's Financial Literacy 2020 baseline survey revealed that 75% of South Africans are unsatisfied with their financial condition. Lack of employment, load-shedding and our country's economy play a huge role in this - people can better their financial conditions by starting their own businesses. This is supported by the latest Old Mutual Savings and Investment monitor research report for 2021, which stated that 47% of metropolitan working households have more than one source of income.

If you are wondering about the possibility of starting your own business, or are looking for ways to grow your business, this information campaign is perfect for you. The FSCA has created engaging and informative content that will guide through the knowledge you need to have, and apply, in order to start or grow your business.
