Terms and conditions for the use of the FSCA Mobile Outreach Vehicle (MOV) at consumer education activities.
The use of the Mobile Outreach Vehicle (MOV) is at no cost to any institution, but all terms and conditions must be adhered to.
The event must have +200 attendees.
The event venue must have five or more parking bays for the seven-meter MOV to park and exhibit.
The event must be known and approved by the following local authorities or person(s):
Municipality;
Consumer protection office;
The South African Police Service (SAPS);
Tribal Authority;
Ward Councilor.
A letter of approval from these institutions must be attached to the application and sent to the FSCA.
No request will be considered without a stamped letter on a letter head from each of the above.
The MOV can only be requested for community outreach events to promote and implement consumer education activities.
The MOV cannot be used for personal/private events.
The event must be strictly without alcohol.
The location of or direction to the venue must be sent a month before the date of event. This is to allow preparations and travelling arrangements by the FSCA officials.
A program of the day must be sent to the FSCA two weeks before the event. Amendments of the program must be communicated with the FSCA prior to the day of the event.
NB:
The MOV is not allowed to be used for any promotional activities prior to the event;
The gate to the venue must be 3,5-Meter or higher for the MOV to enter;
Only staff of the FSCA is allowed to drive and be a passenger in the MOV;
Only staff of the FSCA is allowed to use and operate the equipment and resources of the MOV.
